watching running and car racing is boring, too, but i at least get it. i respect a runner and F1 drivers are pretty talented.

Watching golf on tv isnt exactly stimulating either. I think watching mini-golf would be much more entertaining.

and people serious about bike riding are flaming ahhsolesLulz owns a few yellow shirts I believe. George was way ahead of the curve with Lance Armstrong.I went back and forth with George, he was hilarious then he turned into the bitter old man type. He won me back with that show, but I've gravitated towards any media member or entertainer that would rip Lance and his b.s. for more than a decade. When I was able to play plenty of golf, it was easy to watch golf, now I have to force myself to. I've never been able to get into Nascar even though I lived in the south for quite a while. Every social event seemed to revolve around races but it never stuck with me. Many fans of Nascar have made comparisons to hockey in the sense that it's tough to get into just from tv but seeing it live has a completely different feel to it. The comparisons are easy to believe, but I'm not ready to go there. I have found it plenty enjoyable to remain ignorant and insult the sport from a distance. In the words of the great Austin Milbarge: "We mock what we don't understand" |

well, when it comes to auto racing, a specified F1. i can't do nascar. i honestly gave it a shot. i just couldn't care less about it. i don't even find F1 all that exciting anymore, but I respect those guys and credit them with a ton of skill.

I guess Luongo asked Damien Cox (Toronto Star writer) if he was there scouting for the Leafs last night. Luongo is pretty funny.
Atkinson, Smith, Kaleta, Landeskog, Burns, Callahan, Spezza etc. all down with updated injury reports. Spezza's will be a little later this morning. Baertschi down for the Flames too, they can't afford to lose any offense. Feaster should start dealing now. Lou waiving Cam Janssen, thank goodness. PHX issue not resolved. I wonder if Jamison didn't care for the CBA and is sitting back. Maybe he's playing chicken with Glendale. PHX will be league owned for most of the rest of the year I think. |

Callahan lucked out. He coulda tore something from that dislocation. 10-14 days is bad in a condensed schedule, but it could have been far worse. the silver lining would be he'll get a nice rest from this every other day madness.

I went to see a nascar race in Richmond. It was pretty impressive for the first ten laps however the other 490 laps were torture.

lol no, no yellow shirts. i'm back to 10 miles a day - usually the first 3 or so i'm wearing some unspecified non-yellow shirt, and the remainder are normally topless

golf = teh suck. i'd honestly rather watch bowling.
and that reminds me - what the tkachuk is with announcers splicing the name of the sport into their sentences pointlessly? when someone makes a nice drive or approach, do i really need to be told "that's a great GOLF shot" ? are they worried i thought it was a cricket pitch? and it's apparently contagious - the other night, i'm enjoying center ice (while it lasts), and one of the announcers states "that was a great hockey shift". uhhhh, thanks, i was thinking i was watching jai alai. appreciate u restoring proper focus for me, numbnuts. |

lol lulz, I must confess, I haven't watched much poker on tv lately but I see it on the programming for the Ocho, CSN, etc.. I didn't know they allow those athletes competitors to smoke on tv, you know because gambling is good for you but smoking is bad.
I thought Dog racing and poker would be appropriate "official ditch tv sports". |

See, already one vote for poker lulz.
You must be too focused on hunting woodchucks and cycling to appreciate what you're missing. |

Thank you ditch folk! Drinking can be a sport in itself, no lulz? THere are endurance and speed competitions. You can play quarters (do kids even play that anymore) and its not called soda pong. |

Absolutely fantastic news, all-pgh!
I like lulz mention of Jai Alai earlier as the official sport of the ditch. Or curling.

Spezza out for 2 months. Back surgery because of a herniated disk. Very tough loss for the Sens.
