Florida is probably going to have take 62% of their points to get a playoff spot, and while that's not too bad, they only had 57 point % last year.     They have 45 million for 17 contracts next year and many of the prospects are in the 800-900k range with RFAs likely to make a little more.   They're going to be well over 50 million before Weiss unless they dump some contracts.

What are they going to do with Weiss and which clubs would Weiss approve a trade to?

Tought to say what's going on with this mess.    Looks like manipulation by Jamison more than any mistake by the league or city.    Too bad we can't see the books and terms the lenders are requesting.    We'll probably never know the whole story, but I'll bet the papers in the smaller Canadian NHL cities will give us b.s. to chew on with some Wild speculation.

yeah, i've been bombarding CBS Sportsline with disparaging insults about 4 X/week for the past month or so, as well as several emails to the administration.  of course, they stopped responding to me after the third email.  i think 27 December is when the Chimps actually took over the IT Dept.  but as a sign of support, i've been sending a crate of bananas (and leftover gameday peanuts) on a weekly basis... but apparently that's not getting things fixed... and they're probably back to throwing feces at one another again.  those damned dirty apes!  WWCHD?

bob, yes, i have an ongoing woodchuck issue. they had dug a hole all the way beneath what is now my driveway, and were stubbornly trying to repopulate it. i had to flood her (i assume) out twice (or was it 3 times?) before i finally got the three entrances blocked sufficiently. in addition to the driveway hole, they also are always digging in obscure corners of the pole barn (gravel floor), off the dropoff out back (which is really out front, my house is backwards, like a lake house), in the embankment that keeps the pond out of the field, etc.

but i don't mind them. at the risk of losing my man card, i think they're cute, and there's something else about them that REALLY appeals to me - they hate rabbits, and will run them off with extra zest whenever they see one. so i will never raise a gun in anger when Chuck is involved. Chuck has a get out of jail free card - but i will stand my ground on that one hole. this spring or summer, it's getting filled with concrete. the bitch is, a friend guesstimated it's gonna take close to 20 bags of quikrete. i may end up just paying someone to come out at that point, prolly won't cost much more and will be a hell of a lot less work. if i do that, tho, i either need to get the rest of the gravel i need for the driveway first (the concrete slab is only the end of the driveway at the house, there's another bunch of yardage from there to the road, which currently has about a 25 yard gap), or wait till june or july. otherwise the truck will leave trenches a yard deep, i'll pass on that.

Woodchucks are cute as Kindl.
