How do we know tuiasosopo is a man? How do we know he is actually in love with Teo??

Short of a DNA test or birth records, we don't know if he is a man. We can olny speculate that he is because he has no reason to lie about it.

In general, people lie most often when they are covering something up or trying to stay out of hot water, not when they are admitting they did wrong and are trying to make things right. That's why, in this country's legal system, we almost always take a confession at its word, but we usually treat denials with scrutiny until the truth can be proven one way or the other.

And how do you know tuiasosopo is trying to make things right? How do you know he isn't covering something else up, such as other perpetrators? 

Why do you take his words at face value when his known lies are much worse than teos?

why are you referring to generalities in a situation as bizarre and unorthodox as this? So many unanswered questions, and holes in our "logic"... 

The difference between Tuiasosopo's lies and Te'o's lies is that the Athletic Director of ND did not vouch for Tuiasosopo.  So how does he exactly benefit from lying as much as Te'o lies?  We know that ND is vested in Te'o's lies because they did an investigation into the entire situation and will not release the findings.  So he keeps updating his story when confronted with the truth about his previous lie.  When you only tell the truth when confronted with a previous lie it is not the same as being honest.  Being honest would be telling the complete story from the begining.  At this point Te'o has no credibility and is draging the name of the nation's largest Catholic University down the sewer with him.

What does this even mean?  If Swarbrick would stake his name, his reputation, and the university's by backing Teo, that gives Teo far more credibility than a guy who goes on a daytime tv show that is maybe one teir above Maury Povich.  That gives Teo infinitely more credibility.

Again, they can't releaes the findings, to the extent federal privacy laws prohibit it and in any event, its their own work product.  Your retarded logic couldn't be more circular with these statements.

Now you're just making things up.  His story really hasn't changed at all.  And you all chastise him for waiting a couple of days to talk, gives two interviews to two reputable reporters, and question his timing, but give Tuiassaopo a pass for waiting two weeks and going to tabloid tv.  You guys are ridiculous.

Thats your uninformed, biased or uneducated opinion (or all three at once).  A lot of people find him credible, especially the people he interviewed with.  And while we're on teh subject, since you are imputing Tuiassopo's sexual issues onto Teo, even though Tuiassopo stated that Teo had no clue what was going on, yet you can perceive whether Teo is gay, I am wondering, do you smell your own?  You do seem awlfully hung up on the issue by the way.
