actually thought this was a genius political move by Obama. Offer up a Republican for the Republicans to attack, harrass, pontificate on about, slander, etc.It was a good move but Hagel would actually would be a good Defense Secy. The republicans really seem unreasonable.
Withdraw the nomination and let Hagel go on the offensive towards those who attacked him on the News shows tearing them down w/ no fear of retribution while nominating someone else the Republicans secretly hate even more but are probably forced to accept.

I was in a meeting of high powered business executives of a major retail chain, and I kept hearing the term "Lets Mitt-Romney them"....
Every time the issue of consumer service or product safety came up, they always said, screw the public, "Lets Mitt-Romney them". Every time the issue of employee concerns came up, they always said, "Lets Mitt-Romney them". Soon, I deduced that they meant (in each instance) they were to lie, steal and cheat so that they could ferret away more money in the Cayman Islands. They had no intention of re-investing in the USA. All they were concerned about was how quickly they could put small businesss, out-of-business. I don't think all large chains operate this way, though. |
