I would not consider Iowa and Northwestern on Purdue's level... Yes, Purdue beat Iowa, but at home in overtime. They still won and they are ahead of Iowa in the Big Ten standings and were before they played head to head. As for Northwestern, also behind Purdue but we will see since the play next. Anyway, I think it's ridiculous to say both teams having 20 point victories over the other when you have yet to see them on the floor together. I don't see this game being over 10 points for either team.I don't expect that, but if IU is as hot as they were wednesday, they could. I expect a single digit win one way or the other. I just don't know what to expect. |

Final score I don't know what to expect. During the game I have a few inclinations.
Crean will pace furiously regardless of situation or score. Sheehey will think he's God's greatest gift to the earth. McGary will get an and 1 then follow it up with flexing and screaming. Zeller will look baffled after he gets called for a foul. A G Rob III play will result in the announcers saying something like "just like daddy" or "that'll make dad proud" or "his dad did that a few times in this building". Dickie V will annoy audiences across the nation, especially as he goes on a 2 minute tangent about "Kaepernick, baby". |

Do you have anything intelligent to say about the game? |

Have you already put some salve on that blistered arse you got the other night? Anyone that is more worried about ripping two conference foes than their own teams miserable state is hard to take seriously. |

Do you have anything intelligent to say about the game? I attempted something resembling a discussion about basketball on the first page. This certainly was meant neither to be intelligent nor taken seriously. Jacquo, if you wanted to talk more Purdue basketball you should have just said so. There's a lot of decision making problems to be fixed right now, and a balancing out of roles. We have too many guard trying to do the same things, players not kicking out, not looking to feed our obviously best player, Hammons. IU has all those pieces in place and plays well as a team, they know where eachother will be as most of them have they've played together for 2 or 3 years now. I'm looking forward to what we can be when we start playing the right way all the time instead of some of the time. |

Right on Tim, Purdue is starting three freshman, and a fourth is getting a lot of PT.
As for the UM v IU game, I have a question for fans of both teams: If they split this year, would you rather your team win their one game at home or on the road? Many of you may not remember (these are your archrivals after all) but a few years ago, 2010 I think, Purdue beat Ohio St in Columbus and Ohio St won in West Lafayette, in 2011 they split but it was the opposite. Of course if you have a ticket it is obvious but if not, which game do you think it would be better for your team to win? |

That may be a better question, but not the one I asked :-)
Obviously they play twice for sure. They certainly could play 3 or even 4 times. But you would hate to win teh first three and lose the 4th like Georgetown back in 85 |

I wish the Hoosiers could play Purdoo every game. It would make for a 10-0 start to every season.
Man that team sucks. Painter probably will lead them to more of the same. |

They'll play twice. The top 2 teams in the conference very rarely play in the Big 10 tourney, one of them gets knocked off.

sorry...I thought yours was rhetorical...No, I was serious, do you think the road win would do your team more good than the home loss? I think IU would benefit more from losing today and winning at Michigan, the reason being is that losing this game doesn't hurt much since they are they are the underdog and the Michigan would be the #1 team still (most likely) at the end of the year and getting a road win vs the #1 team going into the post season would be huge. |

Can't we just win both of them? I disagree that we would benefit more. I think if we lose this game at home in front of our fans, we lose confidence and I think we need this momentum going into Illinois and Ohio State. You need to look at the bigger picture. I would much rather carry the momentum from a demolisment of Purdue and a win over #1 Michigan into Illinois and Columbus. If we drop the game at the end of the season it's still a loss, but we don't lose as much momentum and instead of going and playing two difficult away games we play in the Big Ten tournament. |
