Was he a 49ers fan? I know he played for SMU and Dallas, but whatever happened while the lights went out sure changed the momentum.

I think I figured it out: when the stadium went dark, the Ravens decided to take a nap, and then never woke up!

2cents, quite a # of years ago "Dandy" Don was one of the commentators on Monday Night Football along with Howard Cosell..

when a game got really one sided he'd start sing'n "turn out the lights the parties over" which is a line from an old Willie Nelson song!

you are correct he played for SMU and the Cowboys..qb for both and really a darn good one..he possessed what I'd call some down home Texas humor when doing broadcasts which was in complete contrast to Cosell..

fortunately the 49ers came back and made a game of it..congrats to the Ravens!

It was fun but I have to say that I'm kind of relieved it's over. It takes a lot of time to do and I'll be happy for the break until next season :)

Well, I salvaged things a little in the Super Bowl with a 10-8 record, but not enough to make up for all the blunders in the previous rounds. Thanks Baby Fan 4 and Blitzburg for their hard work and another fun season, and all the great posters! See y'all next season, if not before!
