Nice 2H calls DBronco, I was on those 2H plays too along with SF 3Q-3. All in all it got me close to break even, since I was on SF. Just back from a great SB party where it was about 50/50 on each side. But the ending left everyone feeling a bit empty..

This was a great game between two teams I really admire, but there's no telling how much better it could have been if only these officials were consistent in their calls.

Anyone thinking this is sour grapes, just watch the last ten minutes of the 4th quarter and tell me what is the difference between the play that SF DB Culliver was called for holding Torry Smith on a critical 3rd  and 9 with 8 minutes left & the play with SF has 4th & goal at the 5,Kaepernick lobs one up for Crabtree to run under. For a split second, it looks like the right vall after he's beaten, Aldon Smith holds Crabtree with both hands!!!  No call, game over.  I don't know that this changes the outcome.

Even given 1st & goal at the 2, I'm not sure SF gets in. They just could not deal with that Ravens D with a shrunk field. Just look at the 2 pt. conversion and you know they didn't have a play! But at the very least, make the call refs and let's see IF they can somehow get in the endzone! In the end this is a hollow victory for the Ravens. Lots of great plays, but once again the refs inject themselves as a factor in the outcome. This has happened way too much and the league is missing the boat. They've got serious issues. Society is changing. The implications of the brain injuries along with the erratic game-changing officiating (IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!) are going to take a toll.  Call me insane - and I am "impaired" right now for sure, but I honestly believe the NFL has peaked. We'll be looking at something equivalent in market-share to the NHL in ten years.
