Last 4 SB winners strange but true fact

If this fact holds true to form, there are 8 opponents on the Eagles home schedule that want to face them in their opener next year! One of which is my hometown Lions...lol.

Glad the rest of the country noticed this.  We noticed it two years ago, and weren't that surprised when the Giants beat the Patriots.

I'm betting a lot of Philly gamblers made some money this past weekend because of this anomoly.

Interesting sidenote: The first 3 were all home losses for the Eagles, this year wasn't.  So does that mean the Lions need to LOSE next year in Philly, or win?  Quite a conumdrum since the Lions have a hard time getting wins anywhere.

The last 4 SB winners all had one thing in common. They were each the opponent of the Eagles in Philadelphias home opener the last 4 years.

Good catch. The Eagles are also 1-3 in those games. 

Philadelphia also beat last years champ and this years champ in 2012-2013.

Neither has any other NFL team.

They don't even play in the BCS Bowls, why would they play in the lower bowls?

The previous 3 teams to win the Super Bowl before those 4 (2006 Colts, 2007 Giants, 2008 Steelers) all played the Eagles too so the last 7 champs had the eagles on their schedule

So you should only bet on teams from the NFC North, AFC West, NFC East, Tampa Bay or Arizona to win it all next year.

Point your finger at Andy Reid. The guy is a horrible coach but people believe he is great because he had a great defensive coordinator back when the team was actually good that has now been deceased for a few years. I wouldn't be surprised if Andy Reid failed miserably in Kansas City and was fired after a few seasons. 

So you should only bet on teams from the NFC North, AFC West, NFC East, Tampa Bay or Arizona to win it all next year.

Even then you can narrow that list down because there's only a handful of good teams from those divisions.

Both. I can't wait to see the anger from Kansas City fans when he has a great running back and average to below mediocre QB, yet, Andy will decide to pass the ball 45 times a game and only run it 15 times. 

I think Andy is the most overrated head coach in the NFL, honestly.

Finally someone says what I have been saying for 2 years.
Reid is over-rated and his personal life is a train wreck.
He should have taken a year off at least away from coaching, then maybe tried to come back.

Poor Kansas City...they just can't get it right.

You can narrow it down to more than that. The Eagles 8 home opponents have already been announced.  The exact schedule for those 8 opponents hasnt been announced yet but includes the powerful Lions, Chiefs and Cardinals. A longshot SB winner would pay nice on a $100 bet. 

For what it's worth, the Steelers played them in '08 in Philly and lost.

also the Steelers weren't the home opener for the Eagles in '08 either...they were like week 5 opponents

I guess that means the Eagles will never win a Super Bowl, because they can't play against themselves. Of course, we all knew they will never win one anyway.
