okay cool... i dont hate the Lakers..  And i am enjoying Miami's run right now.   2 titles in 6 years.   Possibly 3 in 7.   4 in 8.   not one .. not 2... not 3..

this is fun for me.   i remember 15-67.   i remember the days of kevin edwards, harold miner, bimbo coles, alan ogg, alec kessler..  my team's blood line might not be as pure as LAs..  but we since 2006... we have been to 3 NBA finals, won 2.   and we got at least another 2 years with this team.    i will worry about irrelevance later... right now, we run this.  and this is these are the days i will remember 15 years from now talking crap about basketball with others.

this is our time..not yours.  sit back and watch.

oh sorry.. i forgot all that nonsense about "we expect to win, so we will always be good."    sorry man, i am old enough to remember the 90s and the Magic johnson as coach days.    the NBA has changed man.  the new salary rules..  times are changing.. the NBA isnt the same as it was in the 70s and 80s.   but dont worry, you will believe you should win..rub a genie's lamp, click your heels 3 times and win a title.

Not that you control their fate, it's what their ownership has conditioned Heat fans to accept. Either that, or it's what Heat fans have shown ownership that they are willing to accept.

For the Lakers and their fans, it's a little different. Laker fans lose our everlovin' minds when the Lakers don't win the championship. You should hear talk radio out here. It's practically all Lakers all of the time, year 'round. Even this season, with the Lakers struggling and the Clippers having the best season and most exciting team in their history, with the Kings coming off a Stanley Cup win and spring training about to start and the Dodgers looking like they will be very good.........everyone talks about the Lakers.

Lakers ownership knows this and because of that, they do their best to accomodate by trying to put a championship caliber team on the court each season. I lived in Florida when the Heat weren't all that good and nobody was talking about them.

Definitely fun times!! And as much as I like to have fun and talk some smack back and forth, you definitely should enjoy the run that the Heat are on for however long it may last!!

i do... it's nice to be relevant in the NBA.   I really thought we had a chance a titles back in 99 and the early 2000s... we had a great team, everything was in place...  and then Zo's kidney goes out.    i know what it's like for your team to have no shot for 15+ years...   i love this.   i got to see Miami win 2 titles in my lifetime.. they win a 3rd..im set.  30 NBA teams means it should take 90 years to see 3 titles for an average team.  

this is the best the NBA has ever been to me as a miami fan.
