Wrong. Are they wired differently than us? Yes. But to say that they are "crossed-up" would mean that we were all wired correctly (according to you) to begin with, which simply isn't the case.

Why does anyone need to know? I do not want to know who you are sleeping with. I do not want to know what you like, ding dongs or clams. I do not want to know what you do in your free time. What you do in your own time outside of football is none of my business if you are not breaking the law. Who cares just win the dam game!

Why does anyone need to know? I do not want to know who you are sleeping with. I do not want to know what you like, ding dongs or clamsThis is true, so why do we need to hear about Ray Lewis' born again status or that Ben Roethlisberger got married or that Jay Cutler proposed to his fiancee or that Tiger Woods cheated and then became buhddist? We don't, but we do hear about it. Why? because for some reason the american public likes to know more about athletes than just what they do on the field. Unless they are gay. In that case, "keep that ish to yourself because it makes me queasy." Screw that. |

I find it funny that those who think they are "open minded" really aren't. They have no problem throwing insults like don't reproduce at folks who don't see it their way. All the while not allowing said person the freedom to think or feel how they want. And yet they never see the hypocrisy in this attitude or stance.

Either they know that they are created equal and choose to ignore it and push their own agenda (stupid) or they don't know any better because they haven't been exposed to enough life to have any thoughts on the matter (ignorant). Ignorant people have some hope, as they can be educated. Stupid ones = no hope. |

"When someone is so simple that they can't understand the basic principle that all men are created equal,"............The most ignorant thing anybody ever taught you was that statement. Facts are its just not true, that's a lie. Some 6'2" some 5'5" some are good at math some English some athletics............"I can be as bigoted as they are and hope that they don't produce more idiots."..................By idiots do you mean thinking everybody is the same or equal. Or they can have the attitude that when somebody sees it different from them it's ok to insult, belittle and hate? What type of idiot are you talking about?................."I am only intolerant of one thing. Stupidity."..................Touché................"They can't be anything else. Either they know that they are created equal and choose to ignore it and push their own agenda (stupid) or they don't know any better because they haven't been exposed to enough life to have any thoughts on the matter (ignorant)."..............Oh you mean being exposed to enough life to realize we aren't created equal. Exposed to enough life to realize that's a giant lie..................."Ignorant people have some hope, as they can be educated. Stupid ones = no hope.".................So where must we assume you stand here in all this? Because even with all your supposed education you still think everybody is created equal. That higher education hasn't helped you to see past that basic lie!

"That truth is self-evident, on a human level."...............Correct yet somehow you just can't see it, interesting.............."So would you say that black people are equal to white people?".....................The only right answer is some are superior and some are inferior. Unless of course you by into the Marxist lie that everybody is equal. That was designed to create class warfare. It's called propaganda. That phrase is in no scriptures that I know of. What is however is we will all be judged equally based on our actions or deeds. That doesn't mean we are all created equal. Whoever sold you that was lying!

Unless of course you by into the Marxist lie that everybody is equal. That was designed to create class warfare. That "Marxist lie" actually is in the Declaration of Independence, and predates Marx by decades. So, your stance is that our founding fathers created the Declaration to instill class warfare among the American people? That phrase is in no scriptures that I know of.Scriptures themselves are propaganda, designed to get people to behave in a predetermined manner that satisfies the authors' sense of aesthetics. What is however is we will all be judged equally based on our actions or deeds. That doesn't mean we are all created equal. Whoever sold you that was lying! So, Thomas Jefferson was lying, but the men who collated the bible were not? |

Also if we are going to bring the founding fathers into the argument and Thomas Jefferson in particular. Should we not then point out hey view homosexuality as a crime. One that Jefferson himself thought should be punished by dismemberment and numerous other by death. Where they to ignorant even though you hide behind some of their thoughts and words yet distain others? Your kind of picking and choosing what you want to believe aren't you?

Where they to ignorant even though you hide behind some of their thoughts and words yet distain others? You're going to have to show me where I hid behind anybody's thoughts. I pointed out that "All men are created equal" predates the man to whom you attributed the idea. Then I questioned your assertion that they meant to instill class warfare. Then I questioned whether you thought they were liars, or the writers of the bible were liars. Assuming what you say is true as to how Jefferson (or any other founding father) felt about homosexuals, then his opinion was indeed ignorant, and on the wrong side of history. And, it's ironic that his own tenets would be used to create equality in areas where he thought it couldn't exist. |

Please do provide the quote where I say I dislike, or am intolerant, of gays? Here are some things you have already said: (taken from the other thread, and still not responded to by you) If a person feels a need to bring their sex life into the public forum, don't cry if you get ridiculed! It's really pretty simple again sexual preference isn't like skin tone, or religious dress etc........
First off can't look at somebody and see their gay. You can however look at somebody and see they are Amish, Jewish, Muslim, etc. Same goes for race. You cannot look at somebody and say homosexual or straight.
Did you ever think homosexuals need to get over themselves and realize the bulk of society doesn't want to hear about sexual preference be it gay or straight? And if you are going to voice your preferences you better be a strong enough person to deal with the backlash! Tired of the homosexuals and their supposed cause, tired of the political correct crowd said player should probably come out after they have left the game.

"If a person feels a need to bring their sex life into the public forum, don't cry if you get ridiculed! It's really pretty simple again sexual preference isn't like skin tone, or religious dress etc........" "Why would they be ridiculed? Are you not implying here that you would ridicule them?".................I see nothing there that says I'm intolerant towards homosexuals or anybody else. Funny you do, and that somehow gives you the right to act bigoted!..................."Why would you need to? So really, the only way you would find out if they were gay or not is if they told you, right? I mean, Will Smith doesn't have to "come out" as black because we can all see that he is black. So you are saying that the gays should hide a personality trait that they were born with, out of respect for you. Ludicrous."..................Again maybe with all the "life experience" you brag of you haven't realized, but being homosexual isn't a recognizable trait, like race or religious dress etc........I live in the bay area one of the most liberal areas in the country. I have came accrossed many men and women through my work who I thought were straight and found out they were gay and vise versa. Simple fact is you just can't tell. One can assume if they choose, but they may end up looking as ignorant as you are in this debate. Because fact is you think you know but you have no clue about me!..............."Yes, I can tell from this post that you don't hate homosexuals at all. Some of us know how to comprehend English, which pretty much exposes your bias on the subject. ".......................bwahahahahah
aha, wait so because I tire of the poor me attitude means I hate them? Nice try bud gonna have to dig deeper than that. I'm saying if you want to come out own it! Be it positive or negative that was your choice don't come looking for sympathy. I feel the same about many social issues, doesn't mean I hate them....................."So you don't have to explain to your kids what gay is, or because it makes you feel all icky?".................. Ah what? We are talking about pro athletes here. It's their job. I have already stated this has no place in the work place be it gay or straight! As for explaining to my kids about homosexuals? Again listen up captain clueless, there is no shortage of homosexuality in our society. Senators, actors, teacher, police, musicians, and yes athletes, pretty sure they will figure it out sooner or later. |

Gay Team Mate in the Locker RoomFebruary 8, 2013 6:05 pm
but being homosexual isn't a recognizable trait, like race or religious dress etc...Which means that you would have to hear it from them in order to know. But you don't want to hear it. I'm saying if you want to come out own itNo, you said they should wait until they were out of the NFL. Which is it? that was your choice don't come looking for sympathy. You have confused the word sympathy with equality. I doubt they feel that they need to be sympathized with, just equal. there is no shortage of homosexuality in our society. Senators, actors, teacher, police, musicians, and yes athletes, pretty sure they will figure it out sooner or later. Finally, a rational thought. So according to you, there is no shortage of homosexuality, the gay people can't be recognized without them telling us their orientation, and if they want to come out, they should "own it." I agree with all of those statements. I guess the only thing we disagree on is that you think an NFL player should wait until they are done playing to tell the public, or not tell the public at all. It's more the timing of it then, really. So I can deduce you aren't ok with the media relaying other personal interest stories regarding childhoods, religions, race, infidelity, marriage, relationships, crimes, family life, illegitimate children, etc. as it pertains to NFL players either. Or, you are ok with them "coming out" with personal info like this because it doesn't bother you. Which is it? |

Gay Team Mate in the Locker RoomFebruary 8, 2013 10:28 pm
"Which means that you would have to hear it from them in order to know. But you don't want to hear it."......... And I also stated I don't want to hear about straight peoples relationships either in the same sentence. But your type of bigotry doesn't see that...................."No, you said they should wait until they were out of the NFL. Which is it?".................. Because its considered their job. And again I don't see any point for any form of sex talk in the work place be it gay or straight. Again made this very clear but you type of bigotry wont allow you to understand that...................."You have confused the word sympathy with equality. I doubt they feel that they need to be sympathized with, just equal."................... You put your life on blast for society to see and ridicule comes your way tough luck as far as I see it. Regardless of topic...................."I guess the only thing we disagree on is that you think an NFL player should wait until they are done playing to tell the public, or not tell the public at all. It's more the timing of it then, really."................. A player can do as they please for all I care. If I was his advisor I would advise to do so after he is done. They choose to during their option clearly. That said if their team, owners, league, media, react negative tough luck bud. Again bringing sex any sex into the work environment could cost a person their career................"So I can deduce you aren't ok with the media relaying other personal interest stories regarding childhoods, religions, race, infidelity, marriage, relationships, crimes, family life, illegitimate children, etc. as it pertains to NFL players either. Or, you are ok with them "coming out" with personal info like this because it doesn't bother you. Which is it?"..................in all honesty I could careless about any of it. Again those people decide to allow the media to release said info and they don't like the reaction don't cry foul. Now I'm let you in on a little in sight here. One I have no problem with homosexuals. Two I have been a business owner here in the bay area since 02. Three 7 years ago my business struggled like many others in the U.S. I happened to do a job for a gay couple work did advertising in a homosexual mag and asked if I would be willing to advertise there. Because the community is always looking for unbiased companies. Today probably 60% of my business is through their mag. Im not homophobic, I don't hate homosexuals, frankly I don't give a rats arse. That said you and people like you do nothing for any bodies cause but make it worse. Your high and mighty all knowing stance s nothing more than ignorance and bigotry. Sad thing is you realize it and justify it because people don't see it your way, that's comical.

I'll add my two cents:
As a Christian I believe that homosexuality is a sin. I would have a moral obligation to share the Gospel with my teammate. Having a gay teammate in the locker room would make me uncomfortable, and I am fully aware that me informing my teammate of the sinful nature of homosexuality would probably make him feel uncomfortable as well. With that said there is no "right" to not feel uncomfortable....my feeling uncomfortable about his homosexuality is irrelevant just like his feeling uncomfortable about about my proselytizing. Playing in the NFL is just like any other job....being professional in the work place is part of the job description. It wouldn't change the purpose of what we are trying to accomplish and it wouldn't change my duty as a teammate. Just because I don't agree with his lifestyle decision doesn't mean I punish or persecute him for it. I don't have to agree with his lifestyle choice in order to accept him as a teammate. |

As a Christian I believe that homosexuality is a sinHopefully you aren't using Leviticus as your guide, you surely are smarter than that, but ok... I would have a moral obligation to share the Gospel with my teammate. So if I work with you, gay or not, I am subject to your "gospel?" For about two seconds until I tell you to stfu, but ok... Having a gay teammate in the locker room would make me uncomfortable, Having you on the same planet as me makes me uncomfortable, and I am straight. But thankfully, there is this... there is no "right" to not feel uncomfortable Bingo. However, I am not subject to your gospel. Ever. Especially not at work. I am quite sure the gay man in question would not be sharing his "gospel" or trying to convert you in any way, so you would have no reason to be uncomfortable. Unless you just hated gay people, which I don't believe you do. Obviously if he infringed on you in some way then he would be subject to sexual harassment, etc. I doubt that would happen, as contrary to popular homophobe beliefs, you are not attractive to all gay men. I don't have to agree with his lifestyle choice in order to accept him as a teammate.Right. Nor does he have to believe in the same fairy tales that you do in order for you both to do your job. |

I'm sure that when I explain that I care about your immortal soul that instead of "stfu" you would say "aww, that is so sweet, but I'll pass" :) you are not attractive to all gay men. Since I'm fuck****ing hawt as hell I assume by "you" that you mean "people in general." |

in all honesty I could careless about any of it. Again those people decide to allow the media to release said info and they don't like the reaction don't cry foul. You could also care less if anyone can read your jibberish. For everyones sake, please learn how to quote and use paragraphs, my eyes hurt. That said, I suppose you have some points regarding the "reaction to the reaction" and I am sure that this negative expectation is why an NFL player hasn't come out already. They should be willing to deal with the negativity, just as Jackie Robinson had to deal with the racists in the crowd and on the field when he had to play. People just weren't ready until they saw it. Now we don't blink an eye at black athletes, interracial marriage, and women voters. One day maybe we won't blink an eye at homosexuality. It will take a brave guy to do it, but it will get done. Then 50 years later people will wonder why it was ever an issue to begin with. They will have evolved as a society. That said you and people like you do nothing for any bodies cause but make it worse. I disagree here, because sometimes people need a 2 x 4 upside their intellect to get the fact that the world is going to move forward, with or without them, and they will become dinosaurs if they stay in their old, worn out thinking. If you truly feel how you do toward homosexuals, then the ranting about equality really doesn't concern you, now does it? So you can just let us progressive types keep working on the dinosaur types, since you are pretty much ok with things as they are. Or you can react negatively towards people like me and it will work about as well as negativity works on gay people which is... not at all... |

In short Jefferson didn't write those words believing white, blacks, etc, were all created equal. It was written as a attack on nobility, or entitlement which the British monarchy was living in at the time. To believe anything different is just flat out wrong, sorry to burst your bubbles folks.
