IU has been #1 longer than any other team this season...
lost to Butler, then Illinois... both are proving their worth... |

It sure didn't. But I still ain't scared. If somebody doesn't want number one because they're scared...I don't want them on my team. |

Come the 1st of April is when I hope I.U. is all alone. Too much basketball yet to be played for chest thumpin' yet.Well said. Purdue didn't get to hang any banners for those Glenn Robinson teams in the 90s. No team knows when they will have their Robbie Hummel tear an ACL and ruin their season. Cutting the nets down is when it counts to be number 1, and it won't even matter whether you are the best team or not. |

I have no problem with Indiana keeping the #1 ranking. They are probably the most talented team in the country.
That said, there is no clear cut #1. IU, Duke, Miami or Gonzaga could all get the ranking and I would not have a problem with that. For that matter, Michigan St has been playing well. IU would probably get my vote but I would not mind seeing another team get it that has not this year. WHy not? It is just a popularity contest at this point anyway. |
