Wrong. It has never worked. People who wait to be given their 'fair share' for the accomplishment of simply existing have always suffored.
Of course they have suffered and will continue to do so. People who simply sit around waiting for their "fair share" can keep on waiting as far as I am concerned. People who work hard, spend wisely, look for opportunities will always flourish while the "fair share" crowd runs home to play skyram3 or watch American Idol and then cry about not moving up in the world.
