As an Ohio State fan, I know where you are coming from. Hate to say it, but this might never end. I still hear from Hurricane fans and OSU haters that Miami was robbed due to the PI call in OT.Akers got a re-kick after he shanked one, he flopped onto Chykie Brown who dove in but never made contact, came to a stop on the ground, and because Akers fell on top of him they assumed Chykie took him out and gave us a running into the kicker call. 3 points for SF on a blown call, and what would have been excellent field position for us on the missed kick from 47 yards turns into a kickoff.
What I find comical is they never mention (I don't think anyone outside of Ohio even remembers) that on OSU's final posession is regulation, the refs ruled Chris Gamble out of bounds when replays showed he clearly caught the ball in the field of play. Get this right, it's game over. OSU runs out the clock.
I don't recall the game like most here, I'm sure, but I'd bet there's a play in the SB the refs screwed up in SF's favor.

There was the holding on Torrey Smith as he was running into the endzone after a Flacco pass as well but doesn't really matter, it was a good no call at the end of the game period.
Champs for 2012 = good enough for me. |

Champs for 2012 = good enough for me As someone without a dog in the fight, not sure I'd consider it a "good" no call, but I wouldn't consider it an egregious mistake. The call could have gone either way. If they could review such a call, I don't believe it would have been overturned no matter if it was called as is, or if they called a penalty. |

The same can be said for the Crabtree no call too. The other call that should be mentioned is the late hit on Joe by Justin Smith out of bounds. That could've resulted in a 15 yd penalty setting up another TD. This is why the whiners don't really get to me. They're angry over the loss and don't want to admit that their teams didn't do enough. There was at least a 10 point swing in the 49ers favor due to these calls so the "crabtree tiuchdown that isn't really a factor. All the crying and doubting in the world won't take that Lombardi away from Baltimore now. |

If the tables were turned, however, my guess is the Bmore fans would be complaining, as well. That said, even if they make the call, there's still no guarantee SF scores the TD and, if they do, Bmore couldn't drive on them to tie (if SF scores and makes a 2 point conversion) or win the game. |

That said, I'd rather be the one whose team won than the guy complaining about the call. |

I have let it go, but you are the one who brought it up. The plays were much, much different. Crabtree tried to run over the defender in the SB. In the NCAA Championship game, the defender stepped up from behind the receiver and wrapped his arms around him. Check the video. |

The plays were the same in that a controvertial call supposedly decided a title game. Never mind I agree with you. |
