Fans of teams who have won think the refs of a particular game did a fine job. Fans of teams who lose think the refs are horrendous and complain about one or two calls that they think would have changed the outcome. What I want from refs is consistency. They are human, it's true (I think) and make some mistakes. With regard to the "flow" of the game, yes, I like to see games where refs don't call ticky-tacky fouls, but I also like to see games played by the rules. The more players get away with moves that are putside the rules, the further outside the rules they will go. Refs must keep control of the game. It's up to the players to adjust accordingly. It's not a free for all, and it's not football.-------

Something has to be done but with over 300 teams in the NCAA's how do you get something consistent?

You Don't! And NEVER will!

First of all, I do agree with what everybody is saying. Consistency is a problem. I have been watching decades of college BB. The problem still exist today as it did years ago. I think over the course of conf play the players do get to know how the refs will call games in there own conf's. Where it could be an advantage or disadvantage would be during the March Madness Tournament. Teams have to contend with refs from other conference's. Could this make teams change there style of play? Never has! Can the refs change the outcome of games? I will always believe they can. It's something that all fans have to except, and live with the good and the bad.
