Well, they didn't buy me anything except half my car.  I had an Izuzu Rodeo I inherited from my dad when i was 16.  About a month before my 18th birthday the transmission went out.  At the time, I was saving up to buy a new car.  I had about 2,000 bucks saved up for it.  Getting this car repaired was gonna be like 1,700 bucks.  So my dad decided to go halfies with me and I bought my Grand Cherokee.

I got the phone bill paid for in exchange for good grades and the usual chores as opposed to an allowance, the phone itself was a Christmas gift. 

I free-rode my way into a car though, got my sister's old one and by the time it was mine it was all paid off. 

My first car was a 67 Mustang I bought for 350 bucks.

And i am so ready or the new QOTSA album this year.  6 years since their last one (Era Vulgaris), which was meh and not really a QOTSA album.  So really it's been more like 8 years (Lullabies to Paralyze).
