It's just timing MaryJane.....Harvins situation is obviously alot more complicated. Frazier was getting and extention or new contract either way.....the 2 IMO have nothing to do with each other.

I know it's more complicated but in my opinion it our number1 priority. Your best player on ur team and also at your weakest position on the field I don't understand y u wouldn't give him a deal makes no since. He's 24 and ur gonna let him get away!! Pisses me off

I agree with you MaryJane ....but who is to say things are not being negotiate right now. When neither side is saying anything IMO it says they are either working on a new deal with him OR if Harvin doesn't want to be a Viking, they are discussing trade partners/options with his agent. Either way the silence on both sides IMO is saying things are in the works one way or another.

Holding out gets you no where......The rules have changed and they all favour the team.Personally I'd be surprized if we hear anything until mid march .....just my opinion.

Sucks that a mistake they made in giving an unlikable duchebag like Childress a contract extension that backfired has come back to screw over good guy Leslie Frazier. Typical of life, nice guys finish last (while double murderers ride of into the sunset in a blaze of glory).

I'm not sure how Frazier gets screwed over. He gets 2 more years to prove that he can coach (unless everything blows up again) and if he can he will get another extension. |

they didnt make a mistake they simply picked up his 4 year option. he isnt that good of a coach and it was the right thing to do . but he isnt why they got to the playoffs. AP drove the whole team there himself.

I think the Vikes did the right thing by picking up the option on the last year.
If he can guide us to the PO's again and get us deep into the post season and maybe to the SB, then we should give him a longer term contract. The Viked didn't want to make the same mistake they made with Chilly. |

I think Frazier is roped to the QB position no matter who it is........Even though Spielman had final say on the Ponder pick it doesn't happen if Frazier is against it....Frazier was in full support of that pick. You can guess wrong on that position like many other teams have in the past but the fact Ponder had question marks starting the season and we had no back up plan is on Frazier. We had no back up plan during the regular season and none in the play offs....That's on the coach IMO. We have a repeat of last season again at that position and Frazier should be fired on the spot.

We all know that the defense have come first. We need more weapons on offense. Our defense still needs to be fixed. Our secondary has stunk up the joint for the last five years at least. We haven't even got it fixed yet???? They better work on that. It needs to be addressed not ignored. Then the coaches have to have the scheme fit the players. They have alot to work on. Go Vikings!
