There's two reasons why the dark green signed Dennis Dixon: He can run (see vote box above), and he played for Chip Kelly at Oregon. It's another read option offense, so Vick will be the starter, Dixon #2, and Foles gets traded.

Even thought it's a run-first offense, it's also a four target base with 4-WR sets and 3-WR/1-TE sets. That means Vick will be chased by smaller players (more DBs, less LBs) which may keep him healthier. The problem is that Vick is so scrawny and fragile that it might not matter who's hitting him. If he gets hurt again and Dixon is the QB, then the Eagles should continue to provide plenty of laughs for non Eagle fans in 2013.

Can they just trade Vick away and keep Dennis Dixon along with Nick Foles as the backup? Perhaps Foles as the starter and Dixon as the backup? As long as they get rid of Vick, I'll be good.

Not only that.. But what is it with the Eagles and black QB's? First McNabb, then Vick, and now Dennis Dixon. You need a white QB to win the Super Bowl...

I'll say this too--

Currently the Eagles are in much better shape than the Kansas City Chiefs at this moment. No the Eagles aren't going to trade away Nick Foles, and it's been said already. Andy Reid just wants "his" QB that he drafted last year knowing that the Chiefs don't have a QB that's even considered average in the league in terms of talent.

As I've said before, the Eagles are in much better shape to re-build a team, and do it faster--while Andy Reid is going to milk out the rest of his career while it goes down the drain in Kansas City. Bet on it. Chip Kelly is a better coach than Andy Reid, and he'll prove it in the pro's within a few years.

WOW, you actually believe Kelly is a better coach than Reid? Don't you think it would be better to make this claim after Kelly has coached in the league awhile, after all Reid has been coaching in the NFL since 1992. Remember how well Nick Saban did in the NFL? How about Bobby Petrino? Both entered the NFL with great potential and bombed.

I believe after looking at how poorly Reid has coached after Jim Johnson has passed, that it's not a stretch to imagine that Chip Kelly as being the better coach of the two. Andy Reid is retarded and most of his success has been because of Jim Johnson.

I've never seen a coach with two very good running backs and a mediocre QB (that he chose by the way) pass the ball 45+ times a game with a bad offensive line waiting to destroy the ex-dog killing QB grown up in a family filled with a bunch of losers. I've never seen a coach taken an offensive line coach and move him to the position of defensive coordinator only to fire him over a year later when he should have fired the offensive coordinator, who was probably the worst hire of all to begin with.

Words cannot describle the extensive stupidity Andy Reid has had over the last 5 or so years. The only two real good decisions the guy has made were drafting Donovan McNabb and hiring Jim Johnson. Outside of that, he takes credit for their accomplishments when he himself is not capable of leading a team to winning championships or preventing the team from giving up on him.

Chip Kelly on the other hand is an offensive genius that has won at every level he's coached at so far in his career--so yes, I believe Chip Kelly is and will be the better coach in a few years after he brings everyone in that he needs.

Whether or not Chip Kelly is an offensive genius will be determined by how his offense performs in the NFL.  I do believe that Dolphins fans were extremely excited about bringing the best college coach available to their team some years back.  As far as NFL coaches go, Nick Saban is a good college coach.  Chip Kelly has zero NFL experience.  Whether or not you like Harbaugh, he was instantly respected in San Francisco because of his own NFL roots.  As far as dismissing Andy Reid as a coach, that's hard for me to understand.  Not that it wasn't time for him to go, but there should still be a standing respect and appreciation for what he was able to accomplish in Philly.

Andy Reid just took the props for the success of Jim Johnson and Donovan McNabb. Reid wouldn't have done anything without either of those two. Reid is supposed to be a good offensive coach, yet, his offensive play calling and run/pass ratio based on the team's talent in each position is laughable. Andy just proved how much of a non-winner he really is after Johnson died and McNabb was traded away. Reid's an idiot.
