What will Romo's legacy be if he wins SB?February 18, 2013 6:47 pm
Master, will give you a hint, in some categories, I believe Romo is top five in the history of the NFL, so seriously doubt Peyton is higher don't you think?
I was mostly responding to this post because I found it ridiculous that you seriously doubted Peyton's stats would be higher than Romo's. It's surprising enough that they are as close as they are, but to honestly think that Romo's stats would be higher than Mannings? From the years of watching these two qb's play, what would possibly lead you to think that Romo's stats would be better? Again, I am surprised that they are close, as most people would probably assume Manning's stats would be far superior, but why anyone would assume Manning's would be worse is beyond me. |

Colt, fair question, at first glance, one would think Romo's stats overall wouldn't even be close to Brees, Brady, Manning, etc considering that all are hall of famers and two of them will be considered top ten qbs of all time, I just follow the Cowboys closely and up to two years ago or so, Romo actually was in the top five of all time in quite a few categories such as wins vs losses, so it is no surprise to me since I follow Cowboys closely but understand how others that don't wouldn't think he was close to those guys in stats, so all is forgiven, :-). Also, others probably can't believe he has already surpassed Staubach and Aikman in some major categories already.

Colts, also before Romo's stats regressed slightly in the past few years, he had the second highest qb rating all time behind Young (before Rodgers came onto the scene) and was top five all time in wins vs loss percentage, but unless one followed the Cowboys closely, no one would probably have imagined that you know?

I have the highest respect for Manning, just compared those two to show others that hey Romo's stats are up there with the very best, that is all. He has regressed somewhat in stats last few years but still incredibly good.
