1. Joe Flacco will continue his quality play and earn his money. That being said he still isn't Tom Brady so I hope people are not expecting 30+ points a gameJoe will be Joe, just more consistent nowthat caldwell has the reigns. Hopefully there won't be a SB hangover or a slaray cap exodus and they'll march toward another play-off run. The keys to keeping Joe successful are keeping Boldin and McKinnie (or players that are close in abiltiy). A good possession receiver just as is a a left tackle to give him time to get his receivers open to make his throws.
2. The defense will be better without Ray Lewis - ray seems to have infinite wisdom when it comes to the game and that will be missed but te guy can't play vs quality talent anymore and it hurt the team badlyYou're right on this and part of that wisdom was to know when to step away. While he didn't look that good against top tier talent, he kmew it was time to hang'em up.
3. Bernard Pierce will take a step back- the kid was awesome for us as a rookie and really help give ray a break as well as pick change the tempo. But that being said I think defenses will solve him. He loves to bounce it outside , he did that as well alot in college( see game film vs Maryland). Teams will take advantage of that and make him run inbetween the tackles which seems to be a weaknessPierce is a back-up - period. He's just a rookie so he can develop other moves, but he is a great change of pace to Rice when he spells him. He's averaged more yds/carry than Rice and there's no reason to think that he'll siddenly get stopped. If that did happen, however, its the coaching staff's job to work with him.
4 anquan will be back. I see them restructuring his deal and coming back for a slightly lower amount , you can't cut a guy who dominated in the playoffs and lead the offense to a Super BowlIt seems likely given his statements, but I'm not sure that he'll take less money (overall). He may restructure to finish his career there (2-3-4 yrs?), but I be they stretch-out his money (likely offer more in total over that time) to give the team cap relief and avail themselves of his skills while giving him/the team another shot at a SB run. To my thinking, he's getting up there in age now and knows that other teams will treat him as such. He knows the Ravens value him and now have a plan for his abilities.
