How Cowboy, AZ said they weren't using it, yet it is appearing all over the place and being said on all the Radio Shows and TV shows. AZ said it wasn't being used.

But not as an official marketing slogan. He said that people in the media and other people have a tedency to be stuck in the old ways and those links you posted are prime examples of that. While someone like Rick Hendrick or someone on TV or radio may make reference to it, NASCAR's marketing department hasn't used the saying as an official slogan.

However Cowboy, in an interview with MNike Heltton and Brian France the slogan was used and not denied by the Brass at NASCAR. So by not saying anything they endorsed the use of the terms. Sorry, but you and I both know these NASCAR mouthpieces don't say anything without prior approval from NASCAR. If they did they'd lose their credentials.

I guess it comes down to interpretation and I can kinid of see where you're coming from there. When I read the article, I don't see anything that leads me to believe that statement had anything to do with the interview process. To me it just was a device that Jerry Jordan (a media member) incorporated early on into his article, thus making it another prime example of the media using old information.
