IN terms of the Lakers, it all depends on the Buss family - instead of one primary, it's broken up now into different pieces with the family and now depending on the division and the money thrown to them, you never know about temptation and how the other family members would feel in terms of how dollars and profits are divided.
My contention has been I don't think if Phil Jackson does get married to Jeannie in one way shape or form, he will be involved with the Lakers especially if Jim Buss does not achieve the success and or the expenditures for players are deemed too high to pay over the luxury tax. Said this before, I do think Mitch was always a yes man in terms of the GM position and they should bring in advisors like a Phil Jackson or a Jerry West, heck take your pick from Lakers greats in terms of personel decisions and do what Dr Buss has done, don't be that involved with basketball operations especially if there are people better than you at it.
