UNC vs. NC State Game thread

Stat per Adam Lucas:

NCSU in 7 ACC home games: 6-1, 82.3 PPG. NCSU in 6 ACC road games: 2-4, 68.3 PPG. 

Let's hope that trend continues.  UNC needs to bring it on the defensive end today.  Also, can't afford to give up 39 transition points like last game against State.
 

huge revenge game i expect the tarheels to come out strong today. nc state is clearly a different team on the road they avg 10 less pts on the road and their defense gives up 72 ppg. tarheels are avg 81 ppg at home and only giving up 66 ppg.  the switch to the small lineup was a big spark for this team the only thing they need to do is rebound better cant get killed on  the boards today.  huge game and i think the tarheels will rise up for the challenge.  tarheels 78 nc state 69.  hairston mcadoo and bullock will lead this team to a victory this afternoon.

I hate State.  GO HEELS!

I just can't imagine being swept out by NCSU! Not that it can't happen. NCSU as looked suspect at times this year especially on the road. The Dean Dome should be a pretty hostile enviroment today. I'd like to see the Heels come out hot and not slow like we've seen all too many times this year. Even if we do get down 12 - 0, which seems to be a trend this year, I still think we fight back and get a win today. I'm not so sure we have to win this game or beat d00k to get into the dance but it would most def help. State isn't even ranked and aren't that much better than us when we play to our potential. If Hariston and Bullock are lights out from 3 and Hairston and MaCadoo stay outta foul trouble. Take care of the ball and play lock down D we got this. Same story every game.

Ready for My Tarheels, this is a must game and I think they can get the win. Need to hit freethrows and play good defense. Some 3's would be nice and take it hard to the basket.
Gonna be a little different watching on TV,  sure did enjoy seeing my Heels in person against Ga Tech, great win.

Looks like McAdoo has shown up with his usual performance against a good team. So far 6-14 FG, no FT attempts and 4 turnovers....like clockwork! AS overrated as anyone I have ever seen

Hello Roy?  You've got a lineup in that can not score or defend.  You need point bad.  Simmon, Davis, Hubert, and Tokoto can't score.  Your kids are pissing this game away.

Terrible defense by Tokoto...Imagine how good we could be with someone like Howell down low instead of our softies Johnson and McAdoo...Meeks cant get here soon enough

I have never hated 2 players more than I hate Strickland and McAdoo...Strickland is a liability and McAdoo is the dumbest basketball player i have ever seen on any team any where

Can you explain how McDonald was a part of turning the game around? 
He had 2 points, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 rebound in 19 minutes. 

Paige and Bullock were sensational down the stretch...the defense Hairston played on Leslie was fantastic.
These guys are playing real well now...a top four finish in the ACC and a first-round bye in the ACC tournament is possible.
Couple wins next week and they might rejoin the rankings.

Yeah, It's called defense.  He shut down Wood after Wood started getting hot in the second half.
