Sounds like Hoodie and Brady are trying to find money for Welker...or Ed Reed...

Yeah Welker is 'close' to a new 5 year deal to stay with the Pats from what I'm hearing. Thought he was a goner for sure

I know this has been talked to death, but I doubt it happens tbh, I think he wants to stay if possible.

And if he goes to NE I don't see how it's a good fit, and I'm probably repeating myself verbatim but Belichick does not like wildcards and Reed is the definition of a wildcard on the field.

Until I learned more about the Colts situation at FS I assumed he would be looking there, as Pagano was his former DB coach, but they are set with Bethea.

Part of Ed's success has been he can lay back and play centerfield. If he goes to another team, they may try to change that. I think the guy should just retire. He's been in the league longer than Troy Polamalu by two years, and it wouldn't seem right to see him in any other uniform other than Baltimore's.
