Manti Te'o may slip out of the 1st round

If he goes in the 1st it will likely be to Baltimore. Running a 4.8 (which is a worse time then he likely usually runs) isn't a huge deal for a 3-4 ILB in the Ravens system, or in Pittsburgh, if he falls all the way to them in round two. Same with New England, I suppose. They like big thumpers in the middle who come down hill and play the run. He understands zone concepts well enough that he won't be a liability in the passing game for them, so that's where I see him going right now- to a team looking for a classic 3-4 ILB who can clean up in the run game... 

If he reaches the #36 pick the Lions should seriously consider him. He would be a huge upgrade on Durant or Levy.

He's strictly a MLB by all indications.

Tulloch laked on impact plays last season, but he's still had 112 tackles and defended 6 passes. He's a solid MLB, no reason to fix what isn't broken there.

I'm all for upgrading Durant or Levy. I think Levy is the one we keep because he's a couple years younger, has been playing for two years less than Durant, and he can play all three LB positions for us. I think he's ceiling is a little higher than Durants, and I also think Levy is better in coverage- nothing to write home about, but still the better of the two.

So I'm all for letting Durant walk. I'd be pretty stoked if we landed Arthur Brown or Khaseem Greene in the 3rd round to take his place. Both look like they'll be studs at the next level. I like Greene more of the two, he's just a beast, but Borwn is reportedly the football 24/7/365 type, so that helps his case...

As much as I like Te'o I would not want him in the second unless he shows better at his pro day.  4.8s is just too slow for a linebacker in our scheme.
