Yes, Loyola Marymount is the winning team of this scenario. The game I was asking about was in 1990 and was their second round game against Michigan. Loyola beat the Wolverines by a massive score of 149-115 which surprisingly, did not go into OT.  It was a very memorable run because the #11 Lions went all the way to the Elite 8 where they finally lost to eventual champion UNLV. 

The run is arguably the most memorable and emotional in tournament history. Due to the fact that their star, Hank Gathers, died on the court during their conference tournament just 11 days before the NCAA tourney started. Shooting guard Bo Kimble, in honor of his fallen teammate and best friend, shot his first free throw of every game left handed, even though Bo was a righty. He made every single one of them. 

I bring up the death of Hank Gathers today because today is the anniversay of his death on March 4, 1990. RIP Hank.

Ahhhh, sort of. There have been numerous teams that have made the kind of run that you mentioned. But this one was very emotional because of something that happened during this teams regular season.

Fantasy Baseball Update

No - as Val said, I try to gauge interest first and then actually fill it up...but it would probably be a lot less effort to just make the league and invite everyone haha. Perhaps I will go create it now.

Hey since we are all starting to "enjoy" Val more often, we should really set a weekly schedule so she knows who to report to each week. I was last week, Buc is this week, so we'll start there. Here's what I propose.....

Week 5 - Larry
Week 6 - Luke
Week 7 - jp

I think Devs will want to be every other week on that list.  I'll have to wait until I get home tonight to sign up, but you know I'm good for FBL.  Hopefully if I end up with Longo again, he can stay healthy.  Val, my office does contain a door to seperate myself from yet another office, but I share it with two other people, plus my manager who has yet another door before you get back to her office.  She's on vacation this week, though, so I guess we could get some privacy back there.
