From what I can tell, Eagles fans are rejoicing that the Chargers signed Dunlap.  He is an extremely tall OT who will probably be a back up to who ever we draft and Gaither as well. Rinehart was drafted as a OG but got hurt in 2010 and had been relegated to the practice squads for the Redskins, Jets, and Bills since then.  Was promoted to active roster for the Bills because of injuries to the line last year. Phillips was the TE used for mostly blocking but he did have some catches including a touchdown. He is another large body I think he weighs in the 250 range and looks like another OT. That will help in the short-yardage, goal line situations.
My take on these signings is this. We signed another Matador OT, a practice squad OG, and a capable TE.  Out of those 3 only the TE do I see as helpful. I hope the GM and scouts saw something else in the other two that I am missing and they can bring it out of them.

I am very concerned that Vasquez got away.  The Chargers already had a hole to plug and by him leaving that leaves another hole. That being said, since theydid lose him, I believe it may open up an opportunity to draft Warmack instead of Johnson.  At least it lets them have a little flexibility in who they choose and gives them options if one or the other is gone.  Hey I am trying to find a bright side Wink

There are still some holes on defense that need addressed too.  I still think we should keep one of our CB's, and I do like the thought Jones put up there regarding Huff. OLB will be weakened and ILB could use another body.

The Chargers signed Woodhead to a two-year deal on Friday...

The versatile Woodhead is a dual-threat out of the backfield who totaled 747 yards and seven touchdowns in 2012. Four of those scores, along with 301 yards, came on the ground, while 446 yards and the other three scores came through the air. Woodhead has totaled at least 500 yards in every season since joining the Patriots in 2010.

I think Danny Woodhead is a good signing for the Chargers...He is an upgrade to Brown and others we had on the team...  I hope he can provide a spark to this offense...we can sure use it :)

Good posting nmikey70.
I agree that King Dunlap is not an answer - barely a serviceable backup IMO.
When I saw him fill in at OT on Phily he did not perform well at all.
There is a reason he was a backup in Phily - a team with a bad O-Line to begin with.

I was never high on Vasquez either.  He was serviceable, but that was about it (IMO).
We need to rebuild our O-Line from scratch.
I hope the draft can do at least half of that if not more.

Hey jonesy
I agree with you that Joeckel and Fisher are the studs of this year's draft.
IMO, Lane Johnson is a full notch below them.  But that is still very good!
