Folks, I may be wrong here, but, is the way the system of voting screwed up? I mean, look at the vote totals of the NL players. It almost appears there areabout 2 million more votes going towards NL players vs AL players. There are some positions that the top 4 NL players have all received more votes than the top 2 AL players... For example....The top 3 NL 1B all have received more votes tha

is anyone watching the fact the Rangers have players highly ranked at all positions - - let's get real folks. Andrus? Saltalamacchia? Davis? Kinsler - yes, Hamilton - not a good year- Cruz should be higher - only goes to show that fan voting is a fraud and that making an All-Star team really means nothing more than popularity than ability.

Of course part of the fun in the All-Star game is scrutinizing the more horrendous selections and omissions. Here's just a few of my favorites from this year...
- Russ Branyan hitting 21 home runs was only enough to warrant half as many votes as Chris Davis who has recently been demoted to the minors after hitting .202 with 114 strikeouts.
