Gio Gonzalez needs a date

Nationals left-hander Gio Gonzalez -- he of the 2.35 ERA and one home run allowed in 72.2 innings pitched this season -- is apparently having trouble finding a date for his team's upcoming Dream Gala 2012.

Why would I make such a rank assumption regarding Mr. Gonzalez's leisure time and personal life? This is why ...

Gonzalez subsequently tweeted that those vying to win his evening and perhaps his heart must be at least 21 years of age.
