Mets' Dillon Gee hospitalized, treated for blood clot in shoulder

Mets right-hander Dillon Gee has been hospitalizedwith an arterial blood clot in his throwing shoulder, the team has announced. Doctors have treated the clot with a catheter, but Gee will remain at New York-Presbyterian for at least the next 24 hours.
Gee began experiencing numbness in his fingers on Sunday, and testing revealed a clot on Monday. The Mets will soon place Gee on the disabled list. As of now, there's no clear timetable for his return.
On the season, the 26-year-old Gee has a 4.10 ERA in 109 2/3 innings pitched.
