Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre singled on the first pitch he saw in the seventh inning of Friday's game against Minnesota to complete the second cycle of his career.

In the first inning, Beltre hit his first triple of the season and then doubled in the third. He led off the fifth inning with his 24th home run of the season to give the Rangers a 7-0 lead.

Beltre's first cycle was on Sept. 1, 2008, when he was a member of the Mariners. On that night, he had three hits against the Rangers' Matt Harrison at Rangers Ballpark. Harrison also started Friday night's game for the Rangers and had a no-hitter through 6 2/3 innings.

Beltre is 4 for 4 with three RBI and has homered in three straight games. He hit three homers on Wednesday against Baltimore. According to Elias, he's the second player to hit three home runs in a game and hit for the cycle in another in the span of one week. The only other player to achieve the feat was Joe DiMaggio in 1948.

It was the sixth cycle in Rangers history and first since Bengie Molina's cycle on July 16, 2010. It was the fourth cycle of the season, joining the Mets' Scott Hairston and the Diamondbacks' Aaron Hill, who hit for the cycle twice in 11 days in June.
