Person found dead in parking lot between Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium

A man was found dead in the parking lot between Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium Friday afternoon, according to the Associated Press. According to the report, a man shot and wounded a female parking lot employee before eventually killing himself in the parking lot.

Kansas City, Mo. police Sgt. Stacey Graves told the AP that the woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Both the man and the woman -- whose names are being withheld at this point -- were in their 40s and knew each other, but the police would not elaborate on their relationship.

The AP also reports that witnesses saw the man drive into the area in a silver Cadillac before several shots were fired -- followed by the man turning the gun on himself inside the car.

The parking lots at Kauffman Stadium were closed temporarily, but the Royals scheduled game against the Angels at 8:10 p.m. ET Friday night took place as scheduled.
