Angels first baseman Albert Pujols had "minor" knee surgery last week, reports Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The procedure was done to "clean up" the knee and doesn't involve much rehab before Pujols is back to 100 percent, the report states. Thus, the impact on his 2013 season should be nil. Also nil? The impact on Pujols' ability to watch his former team participate in the NLCS.

Pujols, 32, hit .285/.343/.516 with 30 homers, 105 RBI and 50 doubles this past season for the Angels. He nearly set a career-high in doubles, though he had career-low marks in runs, hits (tied with last season), homers, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.

Pujols is signed through the 2021 season with the Angels.
