Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, who objectively makes this world a better place, was asked about his decision to bat shortstop Jimmy Rollins in the two hole on Thursday.

Rollins is, of course, the Phillies' primary leadoff hitter and hasn't batted second since 2004. So why would the manager shift gears so drastically, even in a spring training contest? Manuel's championship answer comes to us courtesy of the Philadelphia Inquirer's Matt Gelb:

"I don't know."

Fair enough, Cholly. Fair enough.
