Market for Victorino getting hot; Indians, Red Sox, others in mix

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The market for Shane Victorino is hot, and it is expected he will sign a three- or four-year deal in the coming days.

The Indians have been aggressive and are a possibility, as are the Red Sox. Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reported that new Indians manager Terry Francona has been trying to recruit Victorino.

The Yankees, Rangers, Giants and Reds are believed to be other teams in the mix. Curiously, it seems the Phillies aren't going hard for Victorino.

Victorino is expected to receive close to $12 million a year, depending on the length of the contract.
