Corbin has inside track?

The Arizona Republic reports Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin appears to be the front-runner for the final spot in the team's rotation. “What are you trying to say?” manager Kirk Gibson said, when a reporter implied that Corbin has outpitched the competition, which includes Tyler Skaggs and Randall Delgado. “No, you can’t deny it. He’ll have to keep going. Stay healthy. Keep working on some things.” Corbin has posted a 4.50 ERA through four appearances (two starts), while Skaggs has a 12.79 ERA through three outings (two starts) and Delgado has a 15.00 ERA through two outings (one start). “I’m certainly not disappointed,” Gibson said of Corbin, “but I don’t want him to get into a position where he gets happy with what he’s done so far. We’ve got to keep pushing to get better and better and better.”
