Ely struggles in 2nd spring outing

Houston rotation candidate John Ely didn't put his best foot forward on Sunday in Grapefruit League action against Pittsburgh. Ely was pulled two outs into his second inning and gave up five runs -- three earned -- over that time on the mound. Ely, who was hitting around 88-91 mph on the radar gun, allowed three hits and walked three. He struck out two and his spring ERA is up at 12.27.
