Jeff Locke provides some security

Pirates pitcher Jeff Locke held the Yankees hitless over four innings and permitted two unearned runs during a 11-9 loss in a Grapefruit League matchup Sunday. Locke, who remains a candidate to serve as a replacement in the rotation in case Francisco Liriano is not ready for opening day, entered the game in the fifth inning as the third pitcher used by Pittsburgh. He tallied two strikeouts and a walk to slice his ERA to a respectable 3.12 after five appearances this spring (four starts).
