The Dodgers just suffered another tough defeat at the hands of the Brewers, who again won the game in the final at-bat. To set the scene, bottom of the 10th, bases packed, Ryan Braun at the plate. Braun pops up to shallow center, where Matt Kemp positions himself for a strong throw. At third base, Nyjer Morgan ignores orders to stay put and tests Kemp. A merely average throw nails Morgan, but Kemp's heave is anything but. The play at the plate ...


Safe is the call, and the Brewers win, 3-2.

The question is whether Dodger catcher A.J. Ellis made the tag. If he did, then Morgan was out. From the looks of it, home-plate ump Mike DiMuro didn't have an unobstructed view of the tag, but it's hard to tell.

It's a bang-bang play, as they say, and it's not clear the call was wrong. Still, Morgan might have been out despite Kemp's poor throw.
