David Ortiz unhurt in multi-car wreck, will play Friday

By C. Trent Rosecrans | Blogger
David OrtizRed Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was unhurt after being involved in a mult-car wreck on Friday, according to CBSBoston.com. Ortiz is still in Friday's lineup against the Indians.

Ortiz was on his way to Fenway Park when he was involved in an accident on Boylston Street in Boston.

"I lost a little control coming out of the gas station and I hit a car, but I'm fine. Everybody is fine," Ortiz told WBZ-TV in Boston.

The accident is just days after the team's public address announcer died in a one-car accident after suffering a heart attack behind the wheel.
