Astros owner Jim Crane said Monday that he'd let newly acquitted former Astro Roger Clemens know he has a job with the team if and when he wants it.

"He can add whatever he wants to add," Crane told the Houston Chronicle. "He's Roger Clemens. We hope he can come in here at some point and give us a hand doing whatever he thinks he can do best."

Crane said he would call Clemens on Tuesday.

"We'll see what he wants to do," Crane said of Clemens. "He probable needs time to sort out -- he's been at that for a long time. It's been a tough road for him and I'm glad he got a good result and I'm happy for him."

Clemens pitched for the Astros from 2004-2006, recording 38 of his 354 career victories with the team.
