Reds prospect Billy Hamilton was the victim of an armed robbery before Tuesday's Carolina-California League All-Star Game.
Tuesday morning, Hamilton and another man, were accosted between 12:35 and 12:40 a.m. by two men in downtown Winston-Salem. An umpire in town for the game was also robbed just minutes later, according to WXII12.com.
Hamilton refused comment on the incident when asked by the TV camera.
Hamilton went 1 for 5 in Tuesday's game, stealing two bases and scoring the California League's lone run in a 9-1 loss to the Carolina League. Hamilton already has 80 stolen bases this season in 66 games and is hitting .322/.408/.441 for the Reds' high-Class A team in Baskersfield, Calif.
