AL All-Star voting update: Yankees, Rangers popular

If the All-Star voting for the American League starters remains unchanged from here, congratulations are in order for Prince Fielder, Jose Bautista and David Ortiz for breaking through the forcefield of Yankees and Rangers.

The rest of the starting lineup for the AL would be comprised of Rangers and Yankees, with each club sporting three starters, if the voting remains as it is now.

There are some positional battles that could still result in some shuffling. Of course, one of those battles is between a Ranger and Yankee (Ian Kinsler vs. Robinson Cano at second).

On the other hand, Miguel Cabrera is within striking distance of Adrian Beltre at third base. Also, Nelson Cruz and Adam Jones are hot on Bautista's heels while Paul Konerko has a shot at Prince Fielder at first base.

The NL totals will be updated Tuesday afternoon. Here are the updated AL voting totals, with less than a week left to vote on MLB.com:
