San Francisco Bay search called off for missing fan

By C. Trent Rosecrans | Blogger

San Francisco police have stopped a search for a California man reported missing and possibly in San Francisco Bay following Monday night's Giants-Dodgers game, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The unidentified 27-year-old man was last seen at the end of a parking lot on Piers 30-32 near AT&T Park follwoing the game. He was wearing a blue Dodgers jacket, a gray baseball cap, a white shirt and blue jeans and was reported missing by his friend.

The man was walking away from his friend's car when his friend looked down and then was missing when he looked back up. The friend said he believed the man fell into the water. San Francisco police and fire boats searched for the man on Monday in addition to a Coast Guard helicopter.

One of the game's most heated rivalries was marred last opening day when a Giants fan was beaten into a coma by Dodgers fans.
