By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

Andrew McCutchenThe Pirates' Andrew McCutchen, certain All-Star and likely MVP candidate, was forced from Saturday's game against the Cardinals because of soreness in his left wrist. McCutchen injured his wrist while diving for a Carlos Beltran hit in third inning (pictured at right).

McCutchen was initially able to remain in the game, even logging two more at-bats before being pulled in the seventh. He tells Michael Sanserino of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he doesn't expect to miss any time.

On the season, the star center fielder is hitting .346/.401/.593 with 15 homers and 14 stolen bases.
