Orioles designated hitter Jim Thome hit the 610th home run of his career in the fourth inning of Friday's game against the Indians, pushing him past Sammy Sosa for seventh place on the all-time list.

Up next for Thome is Ken Griffey Jr., who is sixth all-time with 630 homers.

The leadoff homer in the fourth off of Derek Lowe was his 189th home run at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Thome, of course, started his career in Cleveland and played there from 1991-2002 and in 2011. His 337 home runs as an Indian are the most in team history.
