Rockies right fielder/first baseman Michael Cuddyer will be placed on the disabled list, reports Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. Cuddyer has been dealing with an oblique injury and is expected to miss two to four weeks.

The corresponding move for Cuddyer will be Sunday's Rockies starting pitcher -- Triple-A Tulsa has announced that it is Tyler Chatwood. Earlier Saturday, the Rockies placed Sunday's scheduled starter Christian Friedrich on the disabled list and recalled Matt McBride.

McBride, 27, will get the start at first base Saturday night. He was hitting .354/.380/.561 with 10 homers and 77 RBI in 91 games for Triple-A Colorado Springs. McBride came to the Rockies' system along with Drew Pomeranz and Alex White from the Indians in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade last season.

Cuddyer, 33, is hitting .260/.317/.486 with 15 homers, 30 doubles, 56 RBI and 52 runs this season. He signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with the Rockies this past offseason.
