Stephen Strasburg watch: Six strong vs. Marlins

As you are surely aware, the first-place Nationals have intimated that they'd be conservative with ace Stephen Strasburg in this, his first year back from Tommy John surgery. To that end, there's likely an innings limit in place. That limit is widely rumored to be 160, but Insider Danny Knobler speculates that 170 might be the number.

Whatever the case, Strasburg continued to his march toward shutdown on Sunday, as he tossed six dominating frames against the Marlins (0 R, 3 H, 6 K, 1 BB). To the big board ...


Possible ominous query from the Strasburg-160 should manager Davey Johnson decide to go rogue and exceed IP protocols: "Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?"
