Angels' Jered Weaver might miss next start

By C. Trent Rosecrans | Blogger

The Angels are four games back in the wild-card race and 7 1/2 behind Texas in the American League West, so now's not the time for bad news. But yet, here it is.

From the Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna:

Weaver was hit in the right shoulder by a comebacker in Sunday's game against the Mariners, but stayed in the game.

Weaver is 16-4 with a 2.86 ERA this season, so it's safe to say even missing one start in September is less than ideal.
