Astros-Cubs tickets available ... cheap

By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer
Alfonso Soriano wants you to arrive early so you can beat the rush. Wink, wink. (US Presswire)

The Cubs and Astros have combined for, oh, 205 losses this season. So folks are not exactly clamoring for tickets to see their upcoming series, on which not even the top-overall draft pick hinges. Throw in the Bears' appearance on Monday Night Football, and all of Chicago will decidedly not be beating a path to the Wrigley box offices for Monday night's clash of anti-titans.

But how little demand is there? CBS Chicago lowers the boom:

That's right, two tickets in section 533, row 3 are listed for 19 cents apiece on StubHub.

Nothing rubs it in quite like the secondary ticket market, and nothing stings quite like the slap of the invisible hand.

Of course, as someone who's always had a strange fondness for watching games in half-emptied ballparks, I see this as deliriously good news.
