In what is yet another no-surprising option pick-up, the Yankees have picked up the options on Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson and David Aardsma.

The options for Cano and Granderson were both worth $15 million, while Aardsma's was based on performance bonuses from this season. He made $500,000 in 2012, appearing in one game, pitching an inning and allowing a run on a home run. The right-hander reliever's option is likely similar to his contract for 2012.

Both Cano and Granderson will be eligible for free agency in 2014 but will be Yankees in 2013.

Cano, 30, hit .313/.379/.550 with 33 home runs and 94 RBI. He's also a finalist for a Gold Glove.

Granderson, 31, hit .232/.319/.492 with 43 home runs and 106 RBI.

Aardsma, 30, had 69 saves in two years as the Mariners closer but had Tommy John surgery in July 2011. When the team signed him in February, general manager Brian Cashman said the move was for 2013, so the fact the team picked up his option was hardly surprising.
